Submit your program item – Let's create West Pride 2025 together!

Do you have an idea for a stage program, concert, performance, party, activity, film screening, art exhibition, lecture, workshop, or seminar? Or perhaps an artistic idea that you want us to hear about? From December 4th to February 28th, 2025, you can submit your contribution to West Pride 2025 – we look forward to receiving your program items!

We welcome all types of art and cultural events—as long as they are created by or for the LGBTQI community. We want to open the festival program to the most dramatic theater productions, the best dance floors, and inspiring artworks!* Note: West Pride selects from the submitted contributions to ensure they meet quality criteria and the festival's purpose – to be a platform for the LGBTQI community. The festival program should reflect West Pride's values.

Criterias and information for you as an organizer

The program item must be related to LGBTQI

This year's festival has no theme. However, some form of LGBTQI connection is required. It can be the content, the participants, or the organization that has connections to LGBTQI. It could also be an author of the work you are presenting who has connections to LGBTQI. If you are unsure, please contact the program coordination.'

Festival participation should not be hindered by entrance fees

City Events, which are events held in their own venues and need to charge admission fees, must offer at least a 25% discount upon presentation of a festival wristband. The festival wristbands are distributed for free by West Pride, and this requirement must be met to be included in the festival program.

West Pride's values should permeate all activities within the association. Everyone working within the association should be aware of and uphold  them. This also applies to all partners and external actors who participate in the festival in various ways.

Additional information for you as an organizer

• You who register a program point are responsible as the organizer.
• West Pride does not pay fees but can provide certain venues, equipment, and volunteers for selected program items.
• The program item must not have been carried out in exactly the same form during West Pride 2024.

How can I contribute a program item?

Activities

Do you have an activity that makes everyone feel welcome, engaged, and inspired from a queer perspective? Maybe a dance class, a child-friendly activity, a live-action role-playing meet-up, or some other exciting activity to create meeting places during the festival? Whether it's a craft session in Pride Park or a fun quiz at your bar, we want you to contribute!

Party/nightlife

Maybe you're organizing the best queer party in Gothenburg? Do you want to create a more welcoming, vibrant, and safe dance floor for everyone? Or do you want to create a safe pre-party before the Pride Parade? Register your club for West Pride 2025!

Film

Do you have a queer film or documentary that makes us think, feel, and perhaps even change the world? Send us your film! We are looking for everything from short films to experimental films and feature films with a queer perspective.

Lecture/workshop/seminar

Do you have an important topic within LGBTQI that you want to share? Something about LGBTQI rights, queer history, or perhaps norm criticism? Share your knowledge in a lecture or a seminar. Or why not organize a workshop and let people learn something new, challenge mindsets, or just discuss the big questions? We welcome all lectures, workshops, and seminars that help spread knowledge and increase understanding within LGBTQI.

Concerts/Live Music

Do you have a concert or a live performance that makes the audience dance, sing along, or feel the music deeply? Submit it to West Pride's festival program! Regardless of genre, live music is an essential part of the festival's energy and joy.

Stage Program/Performances

Are you part of a theater production, dance performance, or spoken word? Or do you have another stage performance that touches, inspires, or entertains? Submit your performance to West Pride's festival program and contribute to a diverse and creative experience!

Art

Are you an artist or do you have a queer artwork that you want the world to see? Whether you create paintings, sculptures, photographs, or installations, you are welcome to showcase your work during West Pride! We want to give queer art a place where it can challenge norms, spark conversations, or be a visual tribute to the LGBTQI community. Come and make West Pride even more inspiring with your artwork!

Where can I arrange my program item?

Pre-Pride May 9 – June 8, 2025

Do you want to help build the atmosphere leading up to the festival week, or do you have difficulty participating during the festival itself? Create a program point during Pre-Pride, West Pride's official pre-party! Pre-Pride events are organized in their own venues in Gothenburg and Västra Götaland, providing an opportunity to be part of the festival's buildup.

City Events

Do you want to help spread West Pride's energy outside the festival areas? Arrange a program point in your own premises during City Events! It can be anything from a performance, exhibition, or conversation at a theater or museum, to an activity at a restaurant, youth center, or other venue. Do you not have your own venue? Collaborate with someone who has one. Together, we ensure that West Pride lives on throughout Gothenburg during the festival week!

Pride Park

Become a part of the heart of West Pride! Organize an activity in our festival area, where you will find the main stage, the serving area, exhibitors, and the heartbeat of the festival coming together. Here we create a safe space for LGBTQI individuals together with allies to be themselves!

Pride House

Share youre knowledge, art, and conversations! In Pride House, you can organize, among other things, lectures, seminars, workshops, panel discussions, or film screenings with a focus on LGBTQI issues. Create space for learning, inspiration, and dialogue in an inclusive environment!
